It was a little cool this evening, but it was a great night for a run. We are now up to 2 miles and will continue to increase our mileage over the next couple of weeks to prepare ourselves for the Cellcom which will be 3.1 miles. Tonight, students collected playing cards at each 1/2 mile checkpoint and then were able to redeem their cards for prizes for highest hand, lowest hand, a hand with a pair of doubles, etc. It was a fun way to motivate and engage our runners!
We are looking for small prizes to use for our running games over the next few weeks. If you would be willing to donate any items, it would be greatly appreciated. Some simple ideas: gum, individually wrapped snacks, pencils, flavor packets for water... you name it! Feel free to send items to school with your child and bring them to Miss K, Mrs.Gloe or Mrs. Malchow.
Also, a quick reminder that with our increased mileage the next few weeks, our pick up time is now 5:00pm
